An emotionally electric actor whose potent contributions to a larger production are enhanced by her producing background.
Maya found a call to storytelling by watching epic classic movies with her family at a young age and traveling the world with them to over 60 countries. She is a proud SAG-AFTRA member who has been acting professionally for over 14 years.
She most recently produced Francesca Scorsese’s Fish Out of Water, (Tribeca Film Festival, 2023) and was a Invulnerable Nothings 2023 Barn Lab company member.
In 2021 she co-created her production company, One & Other Productions, which produces narratives that illuminate multicultural identities.
Maya was a recurring Guest Star on Chicago P.D., featured in Jennifer Esposito’s Fresh Kills (Tribeca Film Festival 2023), and will be featured in MGM+’s Emperor of Ocean Park. She earned her B.F.A. at the NYU Tisch School of the Arts and Stern School of Business. Maya is trained in both Practical Aesthetics and Grotowski.
